A Fresh Start: Graduating from Blogger to WordPress

Since my first trip to Colombia, South America in 2013, I’ve been keeping a travel blog to record my experiences, thoughts and lessons learned from traveling. I didn’t know anything about blogging and really only intended it to be a way for family and friends to see what I was up to. I already knew that I enjoy traveling, but what I discovered on that journey was that I also really enjoy writing. A year later I got a job guiding bike trips around the world and wrote more stories about my experiences guiding in California and Italy. Since then, my job has taken me to Croatia, northern Italy, Eastern Europe, France, Spain and Central America. Along the way, I have continued to share my stories through that original blog.

Throughout my musings during these travels, a common theme emerged in my writing, and that theme is WINE.  I have been passionate about wine for as long as I can remember, but my interest developed even further from guiding bike trips in wine regions that practically breathe the wine they produce. I began studying wine with intensity during the off seasons and earned my Level I and Level II Sommelier Certifications through the Court of Master Sommeliers, as well as the Certified Specialist of Wine through the Society of Wine Educators.

Victory!

…every masterpiece must begin with one stroke before it can evolve and flourish into something beautiful

Now I am 4 years older and a little wiser, with a deepened passion for wine, travel and writing. I am creating a new home for my writing, and I hope to weave my love of wine and travel into this new space.  I have a lot to learn and this graduation from Blogger to WordPress feels a bit daunting.  I remind myself today that every masterpiece must begin with one stroke before it can evolve and flourish into something beautiful.

So here’s to new beginnings and to the first stroke of every masterpiece!

Cheers from Costa Rica!

Thank you for being here,

Sincerely,

Tracy Regan
