30 Something Gap Year

In February 2018, my husband sold his restaurant in Durango, Colorado to travel full time with me and take a breather from the weight that being a business owner carries.

We are taking a year to travel the world and visit restaurants, cafes, food trucks, food stands, breweries, bars and wineries along the way (for research, of course!)

Our journey will begin with a road trip from Colorado to Southern California and up the Pacific coast. In May we catch a flight to Croatia, where we will bike tour around the Dalmatian Islands and beyond.

We are hopeful that this year will not only serve as a fun adventure, but will also provide inspiration for our next project. His passion for food and my passion for wine will be our driving forces in this journey through the senses.We will be documenting our favorite wine,  food and other fun finds as we go and share them on this page. We hope that this will also serve as inspiration to YOU for your next trip, next meal and/or bottle of wine. We welcome recommendations, so please reach out if there are places that we MUST sink our teeth into! 

For now, it’s about time for this chef and sommelier duo to hit the road! Stay tuned!
